How Valet Trash Collection Works
At DoorBin, we are committed to providing a clean, safe, and efficient valet trash collection service that benefits both residents and property management. To ensure consistent service for the entire community, it is essential that all residents follow the established collection guidelines.
General Collection Process
Property management will notify residents in advance of the designated collection days and the exact pickup time each week. Residents are responsible for placing their trash at the designated pickup location and within the approved time window. Trash placed outside of the scheduled time may not be collected.
DoorBin utilizes a verification and reporting system to ensure that each pickup is performed in accordance with established standards, maintaining a reliable, orderly, and accountable service throughout the community.
Important Trash Disposal Guidelines
- A maximum of two (2) trash bags per unit may be placed out for collection.
- Each trash bag must not exceed 20 pounds in weight.
- All trash must be placed in securely tied, standard trash bags.
- Trash bags must be fully intact. Ripped, torn, or leaking bags may not be collected.
- Trash bags must be placed inside or on top of the designated container. Bags must never be placed on the ground.
- Trash must be set out before the service start time. Trash placed out after the start time may not be collected.
- Trash must not contain sharp or pointed objects protruding from the bag, as this poses a safety risk.
- Loose trash outside of bags is not permitted.
- Personal or bulk items (such as furniture or oversized objects) are not accepted.
- Cardboard boxes must be completely broken down before disposal.
- Trash must always be properly bagged. Unbagged trash will not be collected.
- Pet waste, including litter, must be double-bagged and securely tied before placement.
- Medical waste must be placed in secure, separate bags and then placed inside a main trash bag.
Ensure the bag is properly secured and placed inside or on top of the container before the service start time.
When Guidelines Are Not Followed
If any of the above guidelines are not met, the affected trash may not be collected. In such cases, DoorBin will generate a service report documenting the issue, which will be made available for property management review. This process is designed to promote safety, consistency, and accountability—not to penalize residents.
Our Commitment to the Community
By following these guidelines, residents help maintain clean common areas, reduce safety risks, and ensure a smooth and dependable valet trash service. DoorBin appreciates the cooperation of every resident in supporting a well-managed, safe, and organized community.
